Product Manager

Job description

Your mission as a Product Manager at ShortPoint is to assist with our product vision of delivering a range of unique features for ShortPoint diverse products and later on the global roadmap. The candidate is expected to successfully pick up and understand current projects, understand our existing roadmap, and do market research with competitive products and help drive feature requirements using wireframes and detailed requirement specification. Be willing to wear many hats and roll up your sleeves to get things done. A self-starter. Be ready to tackle new opportunities, don’t shy away from challenges, and bring energy and enthusiasm.


  • This is a remote position, we do not give sponsorship or visa.
  • timezone should be between GMT+1 to GMT+7.


Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Manage product roadmaps
  2. Define and document product features requirements
  3. Create mockup and draft of wireframe based on what the customer wants and simple UX philosophy
  4. Provide end-to-end product life cycle management from requirement gathering, ideation, wireframing, design, development, support to marketing
  5. Plan and conduct user research and competitor analysis through market research
  6. Develop scope and define backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the Agile software development team
  7. Develop appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development team
  8. Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups
  9. Actively mitigate impediments impacting the completion of release/sprint goals
  10. Schedule and lead meetings to identify issues and fixes for projects
  11. Keep track of usage metrics on MixPanel and understand product trend by using data to create a custom report and increase user engagement

Must have

  1. At Least 5 years of IT experience
  2. Prior experience on maintaining project requirements and mockups
  3. Prior experience working with product and engineering teams
  4. Prior experience working in a product based company and implemented product from scratch
  5. At least 4 years of experience as IT project manager
  6. At least 2 years of experience in writing requirement specifications
  7. In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  8. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  9. Successful track record of developing products within deadlines
  10. Excellent attention to detail
  11. Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  12. Creative and innovative thinker

    Good to have

    1. Experience of implementing a solution based on SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365
    2. Having knowledge of moqups or similar tools
    3. Understanding of key design principles
    4. Understanding of HTML and CSS
    5. Experience on Intranet projects
    6. Fluent in user-centred design best practices
    7. Experience using Slack, Asana and Atlassian tools (Jira Software/Confluence) to manage workflow
